The Flying Search and Medical Team consists of rescue staff who are engaged in a series of training on a daily basis. In addition to rescue dogs, we use boats and other equipment to carry out rescue operations on-site, placing the protection of human life as our top priority.
In addition to our team doctors, nurses, and public health nurses, we also collaborate with external experts to create a support system to provide all kinds of medical support activities on-site.
Our team is capable of preparing evacuation sites for local residents such as schools. We will secure and create conditions where local residents can live for a certain period of time, while paying attention to privacy, such as toilets, meals, beds, heat and cold protection, etc.
We donate food, clothing, hygiene/baby supplies, etc. that cannot be maintained by stockpiles. When doing so, we carefully listen to the voices of local governments and residents and make sure to provide the most needed supplies.

So far, we have been active in 34 countries and regions around the world. After the launch of the Flying Search and Medical Team “ARROWS,” we have been active and always quickly responding to natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and typhoons that have occurred frequently in recent years, responding also to the new coronavirus infection, by providing large-scale support centered on medical care.
What makes such activities possible is our “Mobility.” Utilizing transportation methods such as airplanes, helicopters, and ships, we respond to all kinds of needs which come out after a disaster, including dispatching doctors, nurses, rescue dog teams, and rescue personnel. We aim to provide quick and effective support that is only possible through the private sector.
【Support to the disaster-affected people after Great East Japan Earthquake】
Immediately after the earthquake, we have been carrying out activities tailored to the situation, such as providing support to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, and rebuilding livelihoods and industry.
Right after the Western Japan Heavy Rain Disaster occurred, we dispatched our medical and rescue teams and disaster rescue dogs which arrived at the scene immediately after the outbreak and carried out emergency transportation of patients from the hospital. We also provided medical support, material support, and evacuation center operations.
【Typhoon No. 19 disaster support】
We provided emergency transportation support for 240 patients from two hospitals in Nagano City that were flooded by the typhoon, and provided clothing and baby supplies to evacuation centers. We distributed bottled water to areas with water outages in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture.
Our activities are supported by the precious support and donations of people in the world.
In order to help as many people in need as possible and as soon as possible,
please donate to the flying search and medical team “ARROWS”.
